Best Coworking Spaces in Bali for Founders (2026 Guide)
We tested 12 coworking spaces across Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, and Uluwatu over 6 months. Here's where Bali's most serious founders actually work, why, and what you'll pay.
Best Coworking Spaces in Bali for Founders (2026 Guide)
If you're moving to Bali to build, the first question is always the same: where do I actually work?
We've spent six months sitting in twelve different coworking spaces across Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, and Uluwatu. We talked to the people working there: not the digital marketing coaches running funnels on Instagram, but the founders shipping product, running engineering teams, and closing real revenue.

The TL;DR ranking
| Rank | Space | Area | Best For | Monthly | |------|-------|------|----------|---------| | 1 | Tropical Nomad | Canggu | Founder density, deep work | ~$220 | | 2 | B Work | Canggu | All-rounder, fast wifi | ~$190 | | 3 | Outpost Ubud | Ubud | Quiet focus, longer stays | ~$200 | | 4 | Genesis | Canggu | Hot desks, casual | ~$140 | | 5 | Dojo Bali | Canggu | Community events | ~$180 | | 6 | Outpost Canggu | Canggu | Hybrid work + lifestyle | ~$210 | | 7 | Biliq Sanur | Sanur | Quiet, family-friendly | ~$160 |
Prices are USD-equivalent for unlimited monthly access. Day passes run $12 to $20 almost everywhere.
What actually matters when picking a coworking space
Most "best coworking" articles rank by aesthetics and pool photos. Founders care about four things:
- Wifi that does not drop during a Zoom call. Bali's residential internet is improving but still unreliable. A good coworking space has redundant fibre and a generator.
- Founder density. You can be productive alone in a cafe. You go to a coworking space to bump into other operators.
- Quiet rooms and call booths. If you take more than two calls a day, you need somewhere to take them without being on a couch in a hallway.
- A monthly rate that doesn't punish commitment. Some spaces charge nearly the same for 5-day and 30-day passes. Skip those.
Everything else (free coffee, yoga, smoothie bars) is decoration.
Canggu
Canggu is where most of the BSTC community is based. It's also where the founder density is highest. If you're optimising for "running into other builders," start here.
1. Tropical Nomad
Why it ranks #1: It is the most serious workspace in Canggu. Quiet by design, fast wifi, lots of phone booths, and a permanent crowd of founders, engineers, and product people. It is not where you go to make TikToks.
- Wifi: Excellent. Multiple fibre lines, generator backup.
- Founder density: Very high. We met four BSTC members on a single Tuesday.
- Vibe: Focused, quiet, slightly intense. People are here to work.
- Downside: Books up. Reserve a desk in advance during high season (July to September).
2. B Work
The all-rounder. Newer than Tropical Nomad, slightly more polished, similar wifi quality. Fewer phone booths but more open desk space.
- Wifi: Excellent.
- Founder density: High.
- Vibe: Balanced. Mix of founders, designers, and freelance engineers.
- Downside: Can get loud near the cafe area in the afternoon.
4. Genesis
The casual option. Cheaper, smaller, less of a "scene." Good if you mostly need a desk and decent wifi without paying premium rates.
- Wifi: Good.
- Founder density: Moderate.
- Vibe: Relaxed. Younger crowd.
5. Dojo Bali
The original. Dojo built the Bali coworking scene and still runs the best community programming (events, intros, talks). Less suited for deep focus, more suited for the social side of building.
- Wifi: Good.
- Founder density: Moderate to high.
- Vibe: Community-first. Lots of events.
Ubud
If you're optimising for focus over founder density, Ubud is the move. It's quieter, greener, and the people who choose Ubud over Canggu tend to be deeper into building and less into the scene.
3. Outpost Ubud
Outpost's Ubud location is the best deep-work space on the island. Set in the rice fields, fast wifi, quiet rooms, and a community of long-stay founders building serious things.
- Wifi: Excellent.
- Founder density: Moderate, but high quality.
- Vibe: Calm, focused, intentional.
- Downside: Ubud is 45 minutes from the Canggu founder scene. Pick one.
Sanur
Sanur is the underrated Bali founder zone. Quieter, less party energy, and increasingly popular with founders who have families or who just want to focus without distraction.
7. Biliq Sanur
Small, friendly, family-oriented. Not a scene, which is the point.
- Wifi: Good.
- Founder density: Low but growing.
- Vibe: Quiet, professional, low ego.
Spaces we tried and would not recommend
We won't name them, but a few patterns to watch for:
- Spaces that look great on Instagram but have only one wifi router and no backup power
- Spaces that double as wedding venues on weekends (the construction noise on Friday is real)
- Spaces with "free coffee" but no quiet area to take a call
- Spaces priced for tourists, not residents (if the day rate is under 6x the cheapest day rate of monthly access, the math is wrong)
How to actually choose
Here is the decision tree we give every new BSTC member:
- Are you here for less than 30 days? Buy day passes at 2 or 3 spaces and try them.
- Are you here for 1 to 6 months? Get a monthly pass at Tropical Nomad or B Work in Canggu.
- Are you here long-term and want focus over scene? Outpost Ubud.
- Are you on a budget? Genesis in Canggu, or work from a cafe two days a week and a coworking space three days.
What this guide does not cover
- Cafes. There are great founder-friendly cafes in Canggu (Crate, Milu, Quince) and Ubud (Seniman, Anomali). We'll cover those separately.
- Private offices. If you need a 5+ person office, most of the spaces above offer them. Email them directly.
- Long-term villa setups. Many founders here run their team out of a villa with starlink. That's a different article.
